Afternoon guys...

I've been sooo lazy all day long :) It's been kind of dreary here today, just makes ya want to sleep! I did hamstrings and calves yesterday ...went all the way up to 95lb db's for 12 reps on stiff-leg deadlifts! I suprised myself bc I always do them on the bar with a couple of 45's on each side ...I think I like db's much better. I think I could've went up for maybe one more set but I was so exausted that I decided to move on to calves. It was a great workout tho! I started with lying curls, going from 50lbs up to 90lbs doing 10 reps for 4-5 sets and squeezing every rep really good. Then went to seated curls starting at 70lbs for ten reps doing the same thing. Then 90lbs for 10 and 110lbs for 10 reps. Finished up hams with db stiff-legs, starting with 45lb db's for 12 reps, 55 for 12, 65 for 12, 75 for 12, 85 for 12, and 95 for 12. Then I went on to do some calves. Pretty short workout but it was definatly a winner bc they are hurtin today.
Anyways- I am getting ready to head to the gym now to do chest, cardio, and tan. They are closing at 6 since it's memorial day so I better get moving. By the way, if you havn't seen the post that I made, I found the software on the internet to dl my pics from my camara, THANKS for the help y'all :) I'm still working on getting this web-cam thing set up for you all tho, hopefully it will be running soon ...it's really confusing, but no worries :)

hello...

Just getting back from school- I had to drive 4 hours to school to sit in class for 1 little hour!! We basically just has to meet with our research groups, which, of course could have been done over the internet. But oh well, gas isn't expensive or anything these days, right!!?? lol. Good news... got my camara cord to download digital pics onto this computer- Bad news... apparantly there is software that I downloaded on my comp at school and I have no cotton-pickin clue where it would be now, haha. Any advice?? ...besides buying a new digital camara!! Guess I will just have to keep doing it the same way- taking the progress pics on film and getting them developed every time. I took tons of 10 week out pis on the digital camara bc I knew I was getitng the cord this week and ...well, you already know the story, ANYWAYS-

Since I left to go to school on Wednesday, that was my day off from training. It felt so good to not have to walk in the gym for one day :) Thursday I went to class and then came right back home afterwards and trained back. I should have rested before I trained instead of stoppin in on my way home. Workout started slow but picked up a little at the end ...nothing I would want to brag about to you all! BUT, I could brag a lil about today's shoulder workout :) I'm really trying to work on my front delts and I went up to 40lb db's for 10 reps each arm on front raises. I actually kept it under control and wasn't doing the "whole-body swing" like you often see, haha. Although I'll admit I might do a little swinging when i don't have a spot and I'm trying to go heavy, but oh well :) Did smith machine presses, DB presses, front and side raises, and some bent over db raises. I tried doing side raises on the cables today and I like them a lot! ...I guess bc it keeps resistance thru the entire set- I'll probably start doing those more often. I have arms tomorrow and I have to stick hams in there somewhere or at least before Monday.

I really want to thank you all that are at the gym encouraging me when I am training- Not everyday is a perfect workout day, but with some of your support and assurance, it often helps me pick it up a little bit and get back in the feel of things ...Really, THANKS!!

Went to the mall tonight and got 2 new hats! Got a Texas one that is white on the front and orange on the back, I love it!!, It's hot!! and I got an all navy Yankees one with NY in white on the front. I'll prob wear that one to work out in, but it's hot too :) Then went to the Roadhouse Grill and got a grilled chicken salad, yummm, so so tasty :( It actually wasn't that bad but I would have much rather been eating the little boys chicken wings at the table beside us!! I can't wait to eat cookies!! Man, I love me some cookies, doesnt matter what kind, any kind will do the job!! Seriously, if you wanna win me over, buy me a cookie, or 2, or 3 ...etc! If you see me at the USA's, you will more than likly see a cookie in both hands :)

I think the WebCam deal is about to get started ...are any of you interested in that? Me and Cindy(Phillips, of course) were talking about that. We think it should be really fun once we get things going ...maybe a little weird at first, since we're both somewhat shy infront of the camara, but It'll pick up, I'm sure :)

I'm still alive, I swear ....

HELLO guys!!
How is everyone? The past few days have been kind of crazy for me, but I did manage to tape my leg workout for ya this morning! My legs are so sore right now, especially at the tops! I have spent the last few days "playing games" with my body, or it seems this way. We've been experimenting with some different ideas to prepare for my last week pre-contest. What worked for me last year may not work as good this year so we have been trying to see what approach is best to take. I've backed off my diet a little bc I am loosing weight too quick. So, as planned, I will stay pretty full all the way down to contest. It's working so far, so I guess we will just see. I took my pics to get developed today so I will have you some updates towards the end of the week! BY THE WAY- there are new pics of me posted today in the members section!! ...check em out :)
I have to go back to school Thursday for class :( and hopfully I will be able to go ahead and move into my new apartment while I am there; That would be great! Not really looking forward to having to move all my stuff as I am getting closer to show time or having to fix tons of food to lug around with me as I travel ...It's never fun to have sweet potatoes leaking all in the backseat of the car, lol :)
I'm getting ready to go back to the gym and do my cardio and tan ...that is after I eat!! I am soo hungry, but I wanted to write and clue you in on my last few busy days!
Has anyone seen pics of Sarah Dunlap at the NY Pro this past weekend? I havn't seen any yet, but this girl is my all time FAV!! Her physique is just amazing and the amount of work that she has accomplished, bodybuilding! and school, is just crazy, and I give her so much respect and credit for that!
I am going to head off to eat and do cardio but I will be back to talk soon ...
PS- I got my prejudging suit in the mail today!! so exciting!! :)

Just checking in...

I got a late start today; I have been so tired these past couple of days and it's so hard for me to get up in the mornings! I set my alarm at night so I can get up and get the day started early, but when it goes off in the morning I literally beat the crap out of it thru a few snoozes and finally it just cuts off :) That thing is so annoying, I don't even know why I set it?! I need a personal wakeup call every morning ...or something!
Anyways, my weight is staying around 135 which is good; I have 10 more weeks to go as of Saturday :) Probably looking at the middleweight class ...maaaybe the lightweight, but I seriously doubt it. I want to take some random pics of me on my digital camara to post one here, but I still havn't got my computer cord from school so it's kind of pointless. I am taking 10 week out pics tomorrow and I will get them developed and put on a cd to share with you all!
I want you all to know that your support on my site, and just in general towards me, keeps me going everyday. Your little words of encouragment make a big diference ...Thanks for bein so sweet:)!!
Workouts are going good ...Trained hams this morning and went back this afternoon to train shoulders. I wasn't feeling the "gym-vibe" this morning so I figured I'd go home and chill out for awhile and go back later and finish up. Worked out pretty good considering I got some school-work done when I came home.
For HAMS I started out with lying curls

Stiff legs- dumbells

65lb db's- 10 reps
75lb db's- 10 reps

seated curls-
70lbs- 10reps
90lbs- 10 reps
100lbs- 10 reps

SHOULDERS-
Presses- DB's
35's for 10 reps
40's for 10 reps
45's for 10 reps

Side raises- DB
30 for 10 reps
35 for 10 reps
40 for 8 reps
burnout down to 5lb db's

Front raises- pre-weighted bar
30lbs for 10 reps
40lbs for 10 reps
50lbs for 10 reps

reverse pec-dec
60lbs- 10 reps
70lbs- 10 reps
70lbs- 10reps

...That was about it. I have BI's and TRI's tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it- It seems like forever since I trained them!!
Hopefully I will get a cord for my camara soon so I can get some quick pics posted for ya! Guess I am about to read a few pages for my class before I go to sleep. Awesome back day!!

How are ya? I'm doing pretty good, just getting ready to work on some school work but I wanted to say hey to you first! :) I got a killer back workout today, too bad my camara-man was working :( ...next week!

Started with pull-ups, some with help and some on my own. I feel like I get a better squeeze when I use help with my pullups; it helps me to concentrate on squeezing my lats.
Then I did pulldowns:
1st set-> warmed up with 60lbs for 20 reps
2nd set-> 80lbs for 12 reps
3rd set-> 90lbs for 12 reps
4th set-> 100lbs for 10 reps

Next I did reverse pulldowns with the same weight and reps as regular pulldowns.

Fun fun deadlifts were next, and they felt sooo good! I love doing barbell deadlifts because they are such a powering exercise and they give your back a killer workout!
1st set-> warmed up with 135lbs for 15 reps (45 on each side and 45 for the bar)
2nd set-> added a 35 on each side, 205lbs for 12 reps (45, 35 on each side)
3rd set-> added a 25 on each side, 255lbs for 10 reps (45, 35, 25 on each side)
4th set-> added a 10 on each side, 275lbs for 8 reps (45, 35, 25, 10 on each side)

Next I went to the T-bar, I'm not sure how much the t-bar weighs so I will just tell ya how much I added each time ...sound good?!
1st set-> 45, 35 for 10 reps (80lbs)
2nd set-> 45, 35, 25 for 10 reps (105lbs)
3rd set-> 45, 35, 25, 10 for 8 reps (115lbs)

Seated rows were next->
1st set-> 80lbs for 10 reps
2nd set-> 90lbs for 10 reps
3rd set-> 100lbs for 10 reps
Drop-down set-> 120lbs for 6 reps, 60lbs for 10 reps

Bent over rows->
3 sets of 135lbs for 10 reps each (45lbs on each side of a 45lb bar)

Pull-overs to strech out a lil->
1st set-> 55lb dumbell for 10 reps
2nd set-> 60lb dumbell for 10 reps
3rd set-> 65lb dumbell for 10 reps

and finally ...Shrugs->
45lb dumbells for 20 reps
55lb dumbells for 20 reps
65lb dumbells for 20 reps
70lb dumbells for 10 reps

YAY!! My workouts aren't usually this extreamly long, although I do quite frequently get caught up in the moment and just keep going until failure??!! Don't know why, but it seems to happen a lot. Anyways, did a lil bitta calves and finished my cardio; Needless to say, I didn't have anything to do this afternoon :)

GoodMorning!

Good morning, how is everybody? I overslept this morning :) and it felt great! I have so much to do today though, so I figured I needed to get my butt in gear! Just got done doing cardio and eating and now saying hello to you all. I am suppposed to meet my mom for lunch around 1 and then I am going to train chest. Summer school starts today :( and I already have a paper due by tonight. The paper is just a few pages of disscussion about nursing from the book that we are supposed to be reading for the course ...and guess who doesn't have her book yet??!! Yep, you guessed it, little miss britt :) So, I have to go on a wild goose hunt to see if I can find all my books today. There is a local college about 45 minutes away so I guess I will have to go visit their book store sometime today! I had planned on getting my books when I drove back to ECU for class today, but my professor cancelled class and put our assignments online. So, at least I don't have to drive all the way to school for one day; for that matter, we don't meet in class until our final presentations at the end of the course, yay! I am so excited about staying home this summer, but now that I think about it, online classes might be pretty hard!! Oh well! Too late now :)

Anyways, I trained legs yesterday so cardio today was not fun at all! I started with extensions, multiple sets reaching 180 for 4 reps. Moved on to smith machine squats where I started with 110 (45 on each side and the bar weighs 20) for 20 reps. Then did 160 for 12, 200 for 12, 220 for 10, 240 for 8, and 250 for 4. I really need to start working out with someone so I can start going heavier, I just don't wan't to push it too hard without a spot!, ya know what I mean?! Then moved to presses, 3 sets of 10 with 4 plates on each side. Finished with lunges, calves, and a few other small things( really don't have a name, I just do them bc they hurt, haha, they're like leg raises and stuff like that, I have no clue what to call them :) My sis-n-law met me at the gym and I ran through a bi/tri workout with her and shes been talking about her jello-e-feeling arms all last night and today, haha, shes so funny.
Me, my bro, my sisnlaw, and my mom got our tickets to Vegas last night!! I can't wait, the whole experience is going to be a blast! I have to admit tho, I am soooo looking forward to it being over so I can go to all those buffet's in Vegas. I swear Ima hit up every buffet I pass, haha, I bet you think I'm playin, huh??!! haha, ok, enough about food ...

Just getting back from Florida!

I've been busy Britt for the past few days ...I flew down to Florida to spend the weekend with Mike so we could shoot for my site! Man, I would LOVE to live there and be out on the beach from sunrise to sunset everyday; It was so pretty! I had a great time and Mike did an awesome job with all the material that we shot and filmed. I can't wait until you guys see some of the material that we have; I think you will like it ;) By the way, have you seen the new video that has been posted in the members section; from the Arnold shoot with David Kippen from MuscleMoods? He also did an amazing job; the clips are really sexy and cool!

I just got back from doing my cardio at the gym and eating. I think I am about to install the webcam deal on my computer and see if I can get that going so when the time comes to flex, I'll be ready :) Prob head to bed soon after that, I'm exausted! I have *LEGS* tomorrow so I'll be sure to update you on the workout and hopefully I can get it on tape for ya!

Today was a good day, chest day is always a winner... short, sweet, and to the point! My brother and I trained chest this morning. Started with pec-dec, 4 sets, 12 reps, 60, 70 80, 90. It was a lil light but it was a good warm-up. Incline dumbells took all that was in me ...40's for 15, 50's for 10, 60's for 10, 60's for 6. After this we did 2 machines that really focused on squeezing the chest muscles ...they hurt so good, haha :) My bro had to leave to go to work so I had to go solo on front-delts ...did 3 sets, 25's, 30's, 35's, all for 10 on each arm. Then finished with a burnout set. You all know what comes next... cardio and tan :)
I got a few cd's in the mail from some phptographers that I worked with at the Arnold this year. It was cool to look through the pics and see all the changes I have made from then to now. The pics that I really wanted to see, I couldn't ...bc I can't get the cd's to work for some reason??!! Who know's, hopefully I'll get that checked out and fixed! I will post one of the pics that I liked from the cd that I was able to view. Hope you all are visiting my site and enjoying what we have put together!! Talk to ya soon ...here is the pic...

I'm heading to bed bc my legs are killing me! And my knee too, I think I may have pushed myself a lil too hard on squats today. I staarted with exnsions. I think I did about 6 or 7 sets going up to 170 and a burn out set too. I was strong on squats today ...1st set 160 for 15 reps, 2nd set 200 for 12 reps, 3rd set 240 for 10 reps and 4th set 250 for 8 reps. I did 2 burnout sets on squats also, just a plate(45) on each side. Then I did a superset of presses and hack squats. Presses for 3 sets and up to 4 plates on each side for 10 reps (by this time I was starting to get weak!) Did light hack squats inbetween presses. To finish up I did lunges with 35lb dumbells, 3 sets for 10. Then I did calves, inner and outter thighs and all that good stuff. I wasn't supposed to do cardio this afternoon but I felt so bad from eating last night so I did a little bit :( lol ...AND NOW, I am about passed out infront of my computer screen :) So, ima head off to bed and get some rest ...Night Night, *britt.

quick lil hello...

I am getting ready to head to the gym to train legs ...fun fun day ;) I just wanted to drop a quick line and say hey! I'll probably be there for awhile ...training legs takes some time, then cardio and tan too! I'll update after the workout and let ya know how I'm doin, haha. Hoped you liked the 12-week out pics ...I'm scared to weigh today bc I cheated last night. I was supposed to cheat on Saturday but I saved it until Sunday so I could eat bad when the fam went out for Mother's Day! We went to Razoo's, a cajun resturant. It was SO good! I had a HUGE bacon cheeseburger bc I didn't really wanna eat shrimp or seafood since I can eat that on my diet anyways. My sister-in-law got a brownie and ice cream for dessert and I wanted to kill her ...Well, that was before I had a lil bite, then I loved her for ordering it :) I look really good and full and vascular today from that meal last night but I feel heavier so I skipped the scales this morning, haha! I'll be back here afterwhile so stay tuned...

Helloooo...

It's so nice to be home! And the weather is just great; I'm happy to get away from all the rain that we were having at school! We didn't get home last night until around 2am, then I had to get back up at 7am because I had a hair appointment at 9am. It's about 9pm right now so the energy-high is finally starting to wear off! I got blonde put back in my hair! I like it a lot; I figured since it was summer I would go a little lighter :) I was going to take 12week-out pics today until I realized that I left my computer cord for my digital camara at school! I was so mad bc I knew there was something I was forgetting! But I'm going to use my brothers camara tomorrow so maybe I'll post a pic so you all can see what I 'm looking like! I look like a ghost :) I need to tan, big time! Good thing I have a little bit of a dark skin color, if not, I'd be looking pasty about now!

Anyways :) I trained shoulders today! Warmed up with some front and rear presses on the smith machine. Then did side lat's(my fav), front raises, front lat's, and ended with rear delts and some calves ...and then cardio of course. My training is picking back up and I am starting to see some improvments so I'm lovin' that!!

I'm about to go take my doggie for a walk and probably give the gs(grocery store) a visit before it gets too late ...Don't forget, Mother's Day is tomorrow!! Talk to yas tomorrow!

Moving moving...

Good Morning :)
For the past few days I have been packing up all of my things to go home for the summer, and I never knew how much crap I had! Stuff is everywhere and I have no where to put it! Ahh, it's a mess. My mom came down to help me pack up and bring some things home so we have been hanging out :) We went to Outback last night for dinner and I couldn't stop myself from looking at everyone's food that was around me, especially the cheese fries at the next table over(my fav)! But, of course I had to resist and get the original, tuna fish and broccoli. I know the waiters and waitresses have to get irritated with the way us bb's order our food ...umm, could you fix that plain please, no butter, no oil, yes ...just plain, and hold the cheese and croutons on the salad ...And then the absolute worst ... could you not bring out the bread ...please:) haha, I'm sure all bb's can relate to this.

I just got done eating breakfast. I had the usual, chicken and potatoes. Now I am sitting here drinking my coffee. I havn't quite figured it out yet, but I always drink coffee when I am dieting!? We are getting ready to do a few last things in my apartment then I am going to the gym before we leave. Today I train *bAcK* ...one of my favorites! I'll start with pullups, then pulldowns, deadlifts, seated and standing rows, lower back and then maybe a few things to strech out a little, and cardio. Yesterday was a speedy leg/hams workout. We got to the gym to find out that they were closing in 1 hr! So we had to get a move on. We finished just as they kicked us out at closing time. Suprisingly, I still got an awesome workout ...I still got the sick feeling and I definatly have the funny walk today, so I guess that means the job got done :)

How do you like the site?

What's up guys,
So what do you think of my site? Today is actually the first time that I have seen it and I am so excited that it is up and running! I guess this is kind of like a journal to keep you all updated on my progress and just everyday life ...So, if anyone has any suggestions or request of something that you would like me to regularly update, let me know!

Today is the best day that I have had in a long time! My last nursing exam was today and summer school doesn't start for 2 more weeks; and on top of that, my website is up! I actually got to workout today with a clear, stress-free mind. I trained chest and front-delts and then finshed up with some cardio. I am 13 weeks out from the USA's as of this past Saturday. I am so pumped and excited about competing in Vegas, I only want to bring the best of my best to the stage!
